Spring is in the Air

Spring has sprung, the grass is riz!! Ahhh…a most wonderful time of year in life and here at The Elms Lodge. The grey of winter is now but a memory. Green, green, green colors the landscape as far as the eye can see. Flowers in bloom. Trees budded out. Crops bursting to life. Birds chirping constantly. Won’t be long till we see little critters all over the place.

For me, spring is a season of reflection and rejoice. All things come anew this time of year. The season provides the opportunity to set goals, change unwanted habits and think great and grand thoughts.

As with all the seasons, I think how very blessed my family and I are to know you and to be able to spend time together. Could be time at the lodge, could be when we see one another at church or out and about in town. Whenever or wherever we see one another, I always feel better afterwards. I am reminded of our friendship, the memories we have shared and things we plan to do upon our next get together. And, just like spring, a chance encounter with a dear friend always feels like a rebirth.

As you welcome spring into your life this year, why not pause for a moment to call a friend for coffee or reach out to a family member you’ve not seen in a while. In the spirit of spring, rebirth and growth, take the initiative to extend an invitation to get together, share stories, share laughter, share love. I believe I’ll do the same.

Until next time,

Your friend,

The Duck Diva
