About Our Arkansas Duck Hunting Lodge
Built for Hunters. Driven by the Flyway.

Diverse Waterfowl Hunting in Arkansas
Pack plenty of shells, because even if you’re a crack shot, you’re going to need them during your Arkansas duck hunting trip. You’ll see more species of ducks in a week than most waterfowl hunters see in a lifetime. Located in the world class Mississippi Flyway, our Arkansas waterfowl hunting grounds are home to mallards, gadwall, wigeon, pintail, shovelers, and wood ducks, along with both blue and green winged teal, redheads, and canvasbacks.
Specklebelly Goose Hunting in Arkansas
There might be gold in those fields as sure as there are geese across our Arkansas hunting grounds. We primarily target specklebelly geese using full body decoys, but you’ll also see large numbers of snow geese and blue geese throughout the season. During peak migration in the Mississippi Flyway, it’s not uncommon for the sky to fill with birds, creating an unforgettable Arkansas waterfowl hunting experience. It’s something you truly have to see for yourself.

Conservation Driven Arkansas Waterfowl Hunting
As part of the WRE (Wetlands Reserve Easements), our fields are managed to create ideal habitat for Arkansas duck hunting. These areas include millet, barnyard grass, smartweed, NRCS selected trees, and managed water, along with rice, corn, bean fields, and flooded timber throughout the Mississippi Flyway.
We also manage properties enrolled in the CRP (Conservation Reserve Program), combining moist soil management with forestry practices that support waterfowl and other wildlife. These areas provide natural food sources like millet, unharvested rice, and soybeans, along with strong cover that creates excellent Arkansas waterfowl hunting conditions.
Great Habitat for Arkansas Waterfowl Hunting
Our habitat is a main reason the hunting at The Elms is so consistent and productive. As a working farm since 1866, we plant and grow rice, corn, and soybeans, creating natural food sources that attract ducks throughout the season. After harvest, we enhance these fields with millet, nutant corn, and milo, then carefully manage water levels to create ideal conditions for Arkansas duck hunting. By flooding fields at the right time and depth, we provide the perfect environment for waterfowl in the Mississippi Flyway.

Arrive as a Guest. Leave as Part of the Tradition.
At The Elms, you’ll arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. Kim Vassaur Freeman, known as the Duck Diva, has built a reputation for exceptional Arkansas duck hunting in the heart of the Mississippi Flyway. Her family’s long history on the land and commitment to conservation driven habitat management have created a premier waterfowl hunting destination. By combining agriculture with carefully managed natural food sources like millet, duckweed, and smartweed, The Elms provides ideal conditions for consistent, high quality Arkansas waterfowl hunting.
