Our operation here at The Elms maintains a happy balance between agriculture and wildlife management practices. We have nearly 4,000 acres that are under intensive crop production and other conservation programs.
The majority of our fields are set up over rice, soybeans, or corn. We have 6 permanent pit blinds and numerous other skid blinds on these fields. We pride ourselves on our farm land and the water management that helps set us apart. It is beneficial to be able to flood certain areas early and save valuable food in other areas for later in the year. This helps stretch hunting opportunities over the entire season.
We also have properties enrolled in CRP (Conservation Reserve Program) and WRP (Wetlands Reserve Program). These locations are a combination of moist soil management for waterfowl and forestry practices for other wildlife. The Elms provides our (leasees/hunters) with ample foods such as millet, un-harvested rice and soybeans. This food along with natural cover provide some of the best hunting in the area!
Come join us to experience first class waterfowl management on the western edge of the famed Arkansas Grand Prairie.
